Once in a Lifetime by Jill Shalvis

About the book:
After a wrenching loss, Ben McDaniel tried to escape his grief by working in dangerous, war-torn places like Africa and the Middle East. Now he's back in his hometown and face-to-face with Aubrey Wellington, the hot-as-hell woman who is trouble with a capital T. Family and friends insist she's not the one to ease his pain, but Aubrey sparks an intense desire that gives Ben hope for the future.

Determined to right the wrongs of her past, Aubrey is working hard to make amends. But by far, the toughest challenge to her plan is sexy, brooding Ben - even though he has absolutely no idea what she's done . . .

Can this unlikely couple defy the odds and win over the little town of Lucky Harbor?

My Thoughts:
Once in a Lifetime, by Jill Shalvis, is part of her Lucky Harbor series. So far, I have LOVED every single book in it. This story features Ben, the hometown hero/hottie and Aubrey, the hometown bad girl. Ben lost his wife a couple of years ago and has been afraid to move on. Aubrey has always felt unwanted and unloved. Aubrey walks into an AA meeting accidentally and heard the members speak about making amends. She decides to make a list and apologize to everyone she has wronged. Ben sees his name on the list and weasels his way in to driving her around town so he can keep tab on her. When these two collide, it's HOT and tender all at the same time.
Jill writes with hotness and humor all at the same time. If you ever need a book that makes you feel good, give this one a try!

My Rating:
5 Stars
